Yes Man Video

When I first started watching this video, I didnt know what to think. But once I got the jist of what was being told, I actually found it hilarious. These guys are great! I cant believe they actually dare to go and publicise the truths in which we are forbidden to know, through hilarious gestures.

I really thought it was original, and it gives the audience more than what they bargined for. They get the information, the truth, and entertainment all in one.

I definately want one of my own survivor balls, and would love to run around a public place wearing it. That was my favorite part

Shooting Back

That is a really cool idea! Its weird because places either have an over abundance of security cams, or none at all. For instance, Rite Aid in Millinocket doesnt have any cameras, but tells the customers on signs that there are, and Hollywood Slots has more cameras than I can count. So to actually go back and invade the invaders privacy is pretty interesting. Although I don’t see what the point is because there’s really nothing you’d capture except where the cameras are located…which could be useful I suppose.

Um…this is kind of weird. I guess this goes to show what you put on the net will always stay on there. The fact that someone is trying to re-locate pics from her recordings to try and make an archive is a little creepy. That’s like someone taking my facebook pictures and creating an archive for anyone to see. My profile is set to private and if someone wanted to take my photos and make another website that’s public, they could be displayed…Although the account she was using is no longer in use, it still I think violates her privacy using her pictures that were once used to make money to freely put them up on the web for all to see free of charge.

I’m not sure what to think of this. It is an interesting concept that she came up with, especially in the 90s when computer’s and internet were starting to really take off. However, she put herself at risk by showing whoever logged in her personal life. The fact that she left the camera on during sexual accounts is a little much, or when she was changing or something along those lines. But what is a good thing/bad thing, at least I think anyway, is that it was able to create the idea for the reality shows, Road Rules, Big Brother, Jersey Shore, etc. It kind of was the first step. Although I never watch those shows and don’t care to watch them, her idea of using that medium to create that for future shows is pretty amazing.

That is a really close up picture too. So anyone could basically get all the close ups they wanted of her activities. The poem is a little odd though.

This reminds me of a George Lopez episode. His niece Veronica, whom was rich but must learn to live the normal ways, does this type of thing where she puts a camera in the corner of her room and men pay her through an account to watch her do daily activities. George finally catches on when it’s his best friend who reveals her secret.

Modern Living & Neurotica

This website is pretty neat! Except it’s a little creepy. The music on some of the things gave me an eerie feeling. I didn’t’ even dare to do anything cause I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. Plus, a lot of the icons were so random it was hard to tell what to expect. It’s a good use of the Internet for personal interaction with the website. If only the website were of some real value and use, it’d be an even better idea.

Nobodies Here

Wow I really like this website, very creative. I want to create a site like this! One thing though, the site moves a little to fast when you scroll over the words, if it only created the lines when you clicked on the words, I think that would be better.

No Quarter

The only thing I can really say I hated or hate about Army games is that they are time consuming!! My ex-boyfriend used to sit at the computer and play Call of Duty for hours! It was hard to break him away from the computer. Not only that, but he had a headset where he would talk to people from all over, so it was kind of amusing watching him get into it. He was very into the army and politics and all that stuff anyway, but someone like me who doesn't have a clue what the weather is going to be like, has never enjoyed army related games.

Since 9/11, maybe the government is using video games as a secret training tool to get young people ready for the big battle! By sending out more violent graphic and in-depth video games, it will prepare them for the real thing, seeing gore, and kills, and using their leadership skills, etc!

At least there are no games where it lets you be a man living in a house where you can beat and rape women, or be a character and have sex with whomever you want, even little kids. The army games are good because it makes you focus on being the good guy and infultrating the wrong do-er.

Video Games and Computer Holding Power

I read about 1/3 of this and I am entirely unaware as to what her point is..

WOW..Literally

A mother cancels her son's World of Warcraft account and he begins to go crazy in his room. His brother sneaks in and hides a camera to video the entire freakout session...the kid was later brought on to Tosh.O to talk about the video and ask if it was real or not! You be the judge!

Watch!

Red vs. Blue

HAHAHA I didn't want to watch this because I thought it was just going to go on about the yellow robot talking bout God and life, but in 0:36, when the robot says, What? I mean why we are out here. Quite humerous. I really liked this video, I think it's really funny. I'd like to know how to do that in video games...It's as if they created their own video to do this but all they did was take clips and put in their own voices...Really good idea! May have to try this!

Waco Resurrection, more info, and great game

First of all, in the waco resurrection beginning, those figures are insanely freaky. The game reminds me of when I played Duke Nukem, however. depending on how many players you had, the screen was set up just like the 4 square grid, etc. In almost all video games, when you die, you can be re-encarnated by just hitting the start button. However, I don't seem to understand the point of this game based off of the video...The music throws me off, and I can't figure out the main idea...

Revisiting the 1993 Waco, Texas episode, gamers enter the mind and form of a “resurrected” David Koresh through a specially designed voice activated, surround sound enabled, hard plastic 3D skin. In an attempt to defend the Branch Davidian compound against internal intrigue, skeptical civilians, rival theologians and the inexorable advance of government agents, each player on the network plays as a ”Koresh”. Ensnared in the custom "Koresh skin", players are bombarded with sounds of government psy-ops, internal voices and the clamor of battle, and empowered to voice messianic texts from Koresh's exegesis of the book of revelation, wield a variety of weapons from the Mount Carmel cache and influence the behavior of both followers and opponents by “radiating” charisma. Waco Resurrection draws on the rhetoric of conspiracy theory, cult activity and apocalypticism to investigate the Waco siege as a cultural milestone. It addresses the multi-layered dynamics of a 51-day media-event that served to mobilize the militia movement, radicalize Timothy McVeigh and cause a re-evaluation of the role of religion in society.

This is the summary of the game, and after reading this, I now know what the game was intended for, and why it's about resurrecting!

The great game? I'm unaware as to the concept of this game...
