Boomhouse Museum

There is a small story that was told around campfires to young kids by their parents to scare them. It's about a young logging man named Johnny Blueberry. Supposedly, if you go to the boomhouse, and look in the water, you will see his ghostly reflection looking back at you! Why? How?

The history and origins of most nursery rhymes reflect events in history and where available we have included both the meanings, history and origins of everyone's favourite nursery rhymes.

Afraid Of The Dark

Old Nickelodeon show that was meant to scare young kids with ghost and magic stories told by teenagers in Canada around a campfire. They call themselves, the Midnight Society. I grew up watching this show up till it came of the air with original cast, and went back on with a new cast. Great Show!

Camp Fire Legends

Enhanced by the magic of the flames, and magnified by the darkness of night, a good story comes to life. The scary kind are the best. They bring the companions of the fire together in a world weaved by the words of the storyteller.

Urban Legends

An urban legend, urban myth, urban tale, or contemporary legend, is a form of modern folklore consisting of stories usually believed by their tellers to be true. As with all folklore and mythology, the designation suggests nothing about the story's veracity, but merely that it is in circulation, exhibits variation over time, and carries some significance that motivates the community in preserving and propagating it.
